The majority of the day was spent trying to test ideas for Playpen's guts as the relatives wouldn't be arriving until late. Among other things I figured out how to make a dynamic library unload itself without crashing the program using it.
During the early afternoon I discovered what hurt my wrist. I'd been suspecting the cane, as I've only been using it for a month. It turns out to be the keybindings I'm using in Doom. Seesh, the game's so violent it injured the player! I've altered the keybindings to reflect this, so the pain should go away.
The family members that were to stop over were due to arrive around 5:00 PM. They ended up a little delayed and didn't arrive until 7:30 PM. While we waited we watched M*A*S*H reruns.
The topic of conversation varied from the new home to what everyone is doing to serial murderers we've known and of course the usual health reports.
I'm very curious about the bride to be; she sounds like the very definition of a typical Furry, but nobody had heard of the subculture when I brought it up. Some clues include the fact that wedding will be held at the Zoo, it will have an animal theme and she likes animals "a lot" (to the point of being vegetarian).
The links for today are just plain odd news: Japan continues to be weird and the 1812 overture was playing in Pennsylvania.
