This morning's shopping did not go well. Many of the people shopping where rather rude and preferred to play dodgecart instead of shop. Some simply blocked isles or parts of isles as they made life-changing decisions about what canned fruit to buy. Complicating matters was a busload of senior citizens and people who were assisting their shopping.
At one point I noticed a toddler who was all alone in part of the store looking at a display of Halloween napkins. His parent(s) were nowhere in sight, and in the store's state of confusion probably didn't notice him missing.
Ultimately shopping was enough to stress out both mom and myself, though this time it was her turn to have a meltdown. Shopping was never like this in the country.
I've spent the evening just sitting quietly reading stuff online, including some things on programming theory I recently discovered.
We still need some things so we'll be heading out again tomorrow. We'll be eating at McDonald's. Thanks to a tip from SlyW on Userfriendly the other day I now have an order that is very cheap, hopefully filling and actually ON my diet. I'm eager to see just how well it works. On of my main problems is simply that I eat too damn much. This new order is less food than I normally order (my usual order costs more than $15), but it's larger than what a meal is supposed to be, so it's a step towards eating better.
Wait; eating better by eating McDonald's?

This fursuiter, Shirik, can even play Guitar Hero while suited and with a wing in the way.
Speaking of overeating, this frightening ad is rather unsettling and shows the flip side of the coin.
