Today's main event was the biweekly grocery shopping. Per usual, we got what we needed from the health food store and the grocery store, then headed to the buffet for lunch. A pleasant surprise was that the local health food store carries the mushroom jerky I've only seen at the healthy junk food store on the other side of town. The price is the same, and the local store carries an additional flavor that the junk food store doesn't, so I picked up a handful.
After eating, we still had enough energy to head over to Target and pickup a few more things. Target was filled with children; reminding us that back to school sales start soon and we'd be better off avoiding the stores altogether.
I spent the afternoon randomly watching Lucky Star and pecking away at projects. I've finally burned through the brick wall I was hitting with Fur and Faith's revamp, so that's moving ahead again. I did a few tests to try out an idea for Playpen and I uploaded the next batch of comics to the server.
For a time I debated about starting a second comic, one that's super easy to draw like A Boy on a Stick and Slither and loosely based on stuff I doodled during class back in junior high. Pure, undistilled craziness; much like the Lost Vikings As the Trope page put it: "Life is good. I hope I never have to leave my beloved village." Ten seconds later, they were abducted by aliens..
In the end I left that in the air, as Background Service, Project Playpen, Din and Fur and Faith are probably already too much to keep up with. Not to mention I'm going to see about possibly animating one of my favorite Don Francisco songs...
In other news, FFC was completely inaccessable today for some odd reason. At one point, DNS failed looking up up the site's domain.
Two links for today: floppy disk drives play Star Wars music and it seems Jupiter took one for the team.
