Pulse-pounding day

Posted on March 26th, 2014

This morning we did the biweekly shopping, perhaps in a new record time as we managed to get it done and return home in time to have lunch at our usual time. I also picked up a can of prepared scalloped potatoes as a small treat for myself.

Unfortunately, shortly after lunch I had trouble breathing and noticed my heartbeat was extremely rapid. Turned out that I'd forgotten to take my meds this morning, which sent me into the typical tachycardia that they prevent. According to our blood pressure cuff, I was clocking in with a resting speed of just under 120 beats per minute.

Once things kicked in and the beats per minute calmed back down to normal the breathing trouble subsided and things were back to the status quo.

During the afternoon I did some searching regarding the problem with the C&Ds, and may have found some answers. The rest of the afternoon was spent typing up a massive Tumblr post about it, which concluded that the main problem seems to be questionable content made to look identical to Hasbro's official content. If this is the case, then the majority of fanworks aren't likely to be a target. It's sort of an Icarus problem: fly too close to the Sun and you'll get burned.

Tonight was a Subway/Movie night. The movie was Despicable Me 2, which is incredibly hilarious.

My evening was spent making a few more adjustments, checking everything over and uploading the altered content to Drawn By His Light, making it the first update to that site since February 1st.

Link of the day: When Water Flows Uphill

Through the miracle of weird science, these guys managed to get drops of water to do really bizarre stuff on video.
