I woke up to the lovely sound of a high-powered vacuum being run right under my window. Fortunately, this provided us with the opportunity to do the grocery shopping right away, as I was up in time for breakfast for a change.
Most of the morning was spent doing the big biweekly shopping. However, we opted to do it at a different store than usual, so there was a lot of label reading and comparing to do.
Among other things, we picked up the ingredients to make salad -- real salad, not the lettuce + periodic table that the grocery store sold. The resulting mix had noticeably more flavor than the store bought ones, and was at least half the cost: $10 of ingredients makes 4 salads, for $2.50 each instead of $5 each.
I also found some dressing that has substantially less fat per serving than the current one, but I've yet to try it.
My afternoon was spent on a Mt. Dew buzz, so I didn't do very much beyond fixing some bugs in Necros Cavern I discovered the other day.
We opted to have a Subway movie night, so the early evening was spent watching a movie called Timer. The end was kind of meh; it just sort of stopped rather than resolve anything.
During the rest of the evening, I took some time and wrote out drafts for Cast Mine Thrive, planned ahead for Emo and wrote a script for PonAI. I'll get started drawing the latter tomorrow.
Who knows, I might pull ahead this round.
The latter end of the day was spent playing Borderlands. Shooting bandits and skags just never gets old.
The link for the day is a short video that makes some interesting points about the differences between sympathy and empathy.
