Suck on this

Posted on September 10th, 2011

Long story short, the feverish feeling disappeared after about two hours and didn't return. No idea what that was about.

This morning it was pretty clear that the problem was yet another salivary gland blockage. The only real way to deal with that is by sucking on extremely sour hard candies and applying heat periodically.

Not having any candies that were particularly sour, we headed off to the grocery store to see what they had and pick up some other random things. We came home for lunch, and I tried what we'd picked up. None of it turned out to be sour and some of it turned out not to be hard candy. We struck back out for Rite Aid to see what they had. There I found Warheads -- extremely potent sour hard candies.

So I spent the day popping those and applying heat.

I did do some more work on the website; moving things further along. While I did so I had Steam install a truckload of games. Since I'm going to make an effort to beat them all, I figured I should install many of them. Specifically, I picked out ones that I think can be beaten in short periods of time (unlike say, Bioshock or Dead Space).

Most of the past few hours was spent with a sarcastic and surreal point and click adventure game series. I beat the first game in about two hours; the second one seems to have more of a plot and slightly more alien logic. It also has an army of goose-stepping cloned Nazi cyborg dinosaurs.

Humorous blooper of the day: while talking with mom about some of the writing I've done, I referred to my custom word processing program (the one I've been using for My Little Pony fics) as "My Little Program". The pun was not intentional, but it was classic.

The link of the day, as one pretty much guessed from reading mom's LJ, is a My Little Pony version of Numa Numa.
