My day focused on Playpen and the website idea from yesterday. While I worked on these I watched the new DVDs of the Superfriends. After watching these episodes I can honestly say Voyager is more "out there" than the Superfriends. While neither obeyed the laws of physics or science as we know it, Superfriends did not at any time attempt to take itself seriously.
Also, I'm left wondering if I'm going about Playpen the wrong way. Some experiments have me thinking that I'm over complicating things because I'm worrying about stuff that doesn't matter. For example, I was concerned with the size of the executable. The typical FPC program is about 200 kb. Crammed with everything in the RTL, it's about 450 kb. FPC itself is about 1,200 kb and runs fine.
I also spent time playing Meritous; previously I've stuck with the Wuss mode for the benefit of unlimited lives, but now I'm trying the normal mode and am finding that while I can beat the Wuss mode without dying once, the normal mode is bloody hard.
