Today was spent working on the next batch of comics and developing a little program to help sort the many images I've downloaded.

The program can check BMP, JPG, or PNG format images and sort them into 27 groups by their dominant color. If it can't open a file it'll place in a 28th group and continue on. It's fast enough to sort 3,000 images in only a few minutes -- while I'm playing a YouTube video even.

Today's mail included plates that mom wanted and the first of the many NES games I snagged off eBay. The plates arrived in packing peanuts; one of which was smeared with what appears to be rodent droppings. Charming.

The game was Donkey Kong Classics. That is, it has both Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr on the same cart. Many many years ago I had the former for the Coleco and the latter for the Atari 7800. Mom's remarked that the sounds of the old games (including blowing on the carts prior to inserting them) really makes this apartment feel like home; like it's something that has been missing for too long.

Since DK is in the house, today's link of the day is a little song he sang to cheer everyone up: JUMP!
