This morning mom and I went to run an errand to pick up a small number of things (mostly cat food) at the grocery store. While there we picked up two books; one is a diabetic cook book and the other is a small book about managing blood sugar. The latter has mostly poor reviews online; it seems that it's an attempt to convert diabetics to Christianity instead of helping with the serious trouble of blood sugar regulation. I didn't expect it to be a be-all-end-all fix, so I'm not too surprised by the bait-and-switch. Still, it's a lousy way to spread the Word.

Speaking of which, I finished and uploaded another page to Fur and Faith. This time around it's a page warning about various signs that a group or person is not very Christian after all -- wolves among the flock so to speak.

As we came home from the store we stopped at the Italian deli. I ordered a Ruben this time, as it's been some time since I abused by system with one of them. Also, I've lost 6 pounds since two weeks ago, so I figured one couldn't hurt.

The remainder of the day was spent pondering Playpen in an unusual manner. I really prefer to code text-only programs; GUIs grate at me. However I tend to doubt if the world will accept such an old-school design, and worry about it. I started a thread on the subject on UF, and received all positive responses, including a few testimonials from people that grew up on the flashy games of today and ended up hooked on text-based wonders in the end. So I think Playpen will be born of yesteryear's technology...

Lastly I give you a choice: a world of Magic, or a world of Logic?
