Din's code currently compiles, but there's not enough done to actually run the program. There's 14 KB of code done. To give an example of how much there is to do, version 0.31a had 132 KB (54 KB if you don't count the built-in library).
Playpen may be back on the roster: earlier today I did some searches and found some projects on SourceForge that are similar in design to Playpen and don't really give the world anything unique in the way of code either. Also, I've found that one of the reasons Neopets has only 40,000 players at any one time is due to high competition: there are about a dozen virtual pet games sucking away tens of thousands of players. Both of the reasons Playpen was shelved look to be false after all.
Sadly mom spent the day in bed; she's sick with headaches and nausea again. Can't fathom the cause.
Lastly I found that Nik Kershaw is still performing on stage: The Riddle via Live Aid.
