So I spent today working on a successor to an older program for an obscure project I've tended to ignore. I figured for a change of pace I'd actually surprise the webhost and update it. In order to make the update, new content must be made. This the new program. The old program works, but it's a pain to use as it requires the command line and a 3rd party program just to run it. Today's coding shows progress, but it ended up not working. I tried two approaches, and both had fun bugs. The latter had more bizarre bugs while the former had lower quality output.

Tomorrow I may try again. You see, despite all of this, I do actually have the old program's source code. It's just I want to improve it -- and it is actually broken. Who knows, I may end up just making a GUI front end.

In other news I finished the Dec. 27th comic.

While taking a load down to the car earlier, Dad ran into one of the maintenance guys who remarked "Moving too, eh?". So much for moving in secret. Also, the people across the hall and us aren't the only people moving; there seems to be a few other people moving out or in as well. In the meantime, one of the elevators is out of order. Murphy had to twist the knife.

Today's link of the day is a hysterical version of the Carol of the Bells called Sock it to the Holidays.

Lastly, the Advent Calendar continues on.
