The day continued on to the biweekly shopping. We really loaded up the carts (yes, plural). The store was extremely crowded. One of the people we passed looked something like Edwards Scissorhands and kept twitching randomly. I dunno what the voices were saying, but I'd rather not find out.
After shopping we went to the Italian restaurant we like. I stuffed my face with a huge Meatball Sub and some Steak Fries.
Upon getting home and getting the groceries put away I collapsed on the bed exhausted. I slept for a few hours, though I roused regularly. After this nap I spent the time poking at various programming related things.
One of the things I've been debating about is whether I should look into more toolkits for GUI programs. I know of a popular toolkit, and looked it up. Naturally, it's not written for the languages I'd use. However the toolkit's site mentioned a translated version of the bindings, so I looked that up. Once I saw that these translations were last touched in 2003, I braced. More digging I find that these translations are only half complete; whomever was translating them hadn't touched them in years. Thus I gave up on that toolkit.
With what time remained of the day I focused on figuring out how to go about the various projects on the TO DO list. There's always a way to do something.
And when Mother Nature wants to do it, get the feck out of her way. She wanted a river; humans wanted a street. We got PWNED.
